Info for Authors

Submission System

The submission and review of papers and abstracts will be managed through the online conference paper management system CMT.

Abstract Submission

Formatting:

  • The body of your abstract should be about 250 words long; it should present a concise statement of the scope, principal findings, and conclusions of the paper.
  • Your abstract should also include a proper title and information on authors and affiliations.
  • You should identify the related “Technical Interests” and “Application Contexts” in the conference paper management system when you submit the abstract. Follow the instructions on the submission page.
Extended Abstract Submission

  • Extended abstract including references must not exceed 2 pages in length: use the IWCCE 2017 Extended Abstract Template for specific formatting guidance
  • Extended abstracts are intended for poster and demonstration sessions ONLY and will be made available on the IWCCE 2017 official website (however, they will NOT be included in the proceedings per ASCE publication policy)

Poster Session Preparation Guidelines (New)

  • A 30″x40″ (76.2 cm x 101.6 cm) foam board and a display easel will be set up for each poster on site. Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their posters to the workshop.

Demonstration Session Preparation Guidelines (New)

  • Each presenter will have 15 minutes on stage, including 12 minutes for demonstration and 3 minutes for Q&A.
  • It is expected that each presenter will bring the needed demonstration equipment (including laptop and any necessary hardware connectors).

Full Paper Presentation Guidelines (New)

  • Please be at your session 5 minutes prior to set up your presentation files.
  • Each presentation will be 15 minutes in length, including 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for Q&A.
  • The session chair will give you a “3 minute” warning, and then a “1 minute” warning as you approach the 12-minute limit. If you see a “Finish” sign, please wrap up the presentation immediately.
  • Each session room will be equipped with a laptop and a laser pointer. Please avoid using your own laptop unless it is necessary.
